Hello! We are WiseDane Great Danes. We take huge pride in not just our own dogs but the offspring in which we bring into the world! We have owned and loved Danes for over 11 years now. We purchased and imported to Germany, our first Dane, a mantle female, over 11 years ago. She was our eye opening experience that led to our obsession and passion for the breed. Since purchasing her my husband and I have traveled all over the country with the Military. When my husband retired in 2011, is when we settled down in Louisville, Kentucky and began building our gorgeous array of stock. It took us a while to purchase our stock danes as we were very picky on both their lineage and bloodlines, but also their overall conformation and temperaments. We worked hand in hand with some of what we like to think are the best and most respected breeders of the breed to acquire our personal babies. We have watched our gorgeous, crazy, clumsy babies develop into superior examples of this breed, and we couldn't be happier or prouder. As our new litters emerge we feel an even larger sense of pride. As we watch some of our first litters now age and breed themselves, we are absolutely stunned at the quality of their offspring. Keeping back our own bloodlines, and now adding in outside lines to our own we can proudly say we exhibit and home some of the best offspring we've ever seen from this breed thus far, but I might just be a little biased. Our goal in breeding is to create substance in the offspring that's even better than the parents we started with. Thus far we have yet to have any puppy returned to us due to health concerns and that's something we can truly put value on. Knowing that we are providing healthy offspring that is loved and cherished by their human families is our top goal in our program. We began with black and white and have now branched into blues, chocolates, lilac and fawns. Our code of ethics stand on the basis that healthy parents = healthy offspring, and that no one should buy a puppy and then have the heartbreak of extensive veterinarian care thereafter. This is why all of our adults are routinely vetted with Dr. David Stone of Shepherdsville Animal Hospital and receive routine yearly check ups, evaluations and are administered proper shots, worm and canine bordetella/influenza preventatives. Each of our dogs undergo routine xrays of their hips and elbows, cardiac and thyroid testing, hearing and vision testing. Our puppies also undergo proper shots and worming preventatives and receive a full health check, parasite testing, as well as receive a state certified health certificate prior to going home as well. This way when you buy and take possession of a WiseDane puppy, you are given assurance that what you bought is a QUALITY baby that is healthy and parasite free.
