Tips and Tricks for an amazing portrait session

  • Bring at least three (3) full outfits (shirt, pants, skirt/dress, shoes, jewelery, etc) plus your cap and gown.
  • Drink plenty of water the day before your photo shoot. It helps to hydrade your skin and makes it look silky and radiant.
  • Get a full eight (8) hours sleep the night before your shoot. This will help to deminish dark circles under your eyes and help to get rid of that glossy-eyed, tired look.
  • Be sure to be energetic the day of your shoot and be prepaired to follow your photographer's directions. There is no reason to be shy! Remember it's our job to make you look amazing!
  • Be sure to smile! Usually we have an idea or plan that you can't see through our lenses like we can.
  • Bring personal props such as uniforms, letterman jackets, sporting equipment you use, instruments you play, ribbons you have won, or anything that is special to your personality.
  • Be sure to bring your hair products, a brush/comb, curling iron/straitener, and your make-up for any touch-ups you might have.
  • Do not cut or dye your hair for at least one week prior to your scheduled shoot. You will need some time to adjeust to any new color or style.
  • Make sure your finger and toe nails are well manicured and clean.
  • Feel free to bring your parents, friends, siblings, or pets to the shoot for both encouragement and to be in a couple of shots with you.
